    Dan,

Russell is absolutely right about the evidence being the determinate of any claim or theory about guilt. I love Russell was able to share his expertise in behavioral science and insight into true investigative process and procedure. I have a different perspective from a digital forensic stance. My training and education hinges on the same basic principles such as Locard's "law" in relationship to forensics but with digital media involved. Due to the extensive presence of digital evidence documented by the Crowley's it is impossible to be so inconclusive about motive, times of death, and who or how the TextEdit note left on the MBP was written. There is always a "fingerprint" left at the scene. And in this case there is a HUGE digital trail. There are also HUGE errors in process and procedure.

Like Russell, I was able to tell from the documentary by "Neil" the story did not add up - without any further knowledge of David and his "Gray State" project or the Crowley's in general. Brief observation of the information shared by you and Fernandez Jr. quickly left me with disdain for how the case was handled. This is NOT how cases are handled. Especially a case with 3 dead bodies - much less a deceased child on the scene.

I do not say these things as a slight to those responders or investigators - per se. I believe from the digital perspective interference was run in this investigation. In other words, I believe the investigation was hindered by "legalities" over the ownership of data. I have not seen the forensic reports conducted by the Dakota County CS Task Force, but it is IMPOSSIBLE they were not able to glean information about this crime from all the media they obtained. Digital forensic analysts are trained in the same way as Russell - follow the evidence - and digital evidence "screams" a story the same way Russell describes the bodies will scream their story. I believe the family or investigators where troubled in this investigation by legal "rights" to the data. That has not been blatantly stated by the departments involved - but I have no reason to believe any department would "side-step" unless they were under legal scrutiny themselves. I don't believe the miscarriage of justice was wholly the fault of the departments involved. As someone who has a passion for forensics similar to Russell, I have a hard time pointing the finger at any investigators.

This is hard work that takes years of training. Myself - I don't like the ugly truth. I have a hard time stomaching the photos, the blood, or the thought of pain and suffering. I guess that's why I leaned towards the digital realm. No matter what - investigations follow a strict "tride and true" process. That is no different with digital evidence. The moment a "live" machine was identified on the scene it would've been captured in its live state and any and all activity on the machine would've been recorded and preserved. It is VERY strange the police report states the Task Force did not find anything of evidentiary value in this case. As a matter of fact - I would go as far to say it is IMPOSSIBLE no digital evidence was found and that evidence did not contribute to the narrative. It is more likely the digital evidence was suppressed because it was "seized" in legalities over who owns the data.

Russell is also right in his guidance with respect to re-opening the case. The inconsistencies in this case need BIG exposure and that exposure needs to be brought to the right people. Throwing the investigators of the case un der the bus is not going to get justice. There are enough inconsistencies to draw up proposals for re-investigation. I wish I could guide you better but I'm in the private sector. I will do anything I can to assist as a citizen investigator.

I don't believe David murdered his family. I don't care how much marijuana was at the scene, I don't care if the medium thinks Raniya had a different father, I don't care if they were having money problems, and I don't care if they were distancing themselves from family drama. There has been NO evidence released to prove David murdered his family and turned the gun on himself. Actually, the only evidence released shows quite the opposite.

I feel like the investigators' hands have been tied by the families. I feel like the families' hands have been tied by the "friends" and those who have a legal interest beyond the victims. The shame is David is left holding a bag he didn't create, compile, and never would've carried.

Everything David created - his marriage, his child, his message - was butchered on his living room floor. But there is one thing David created that can never be destroyed - and that is LOVE. I never met the man - but I felt his love. That is the strongest evidence I have that David is not guilty. LOVE.

I have a HUGE ache in my heart this family is gone. I just know we would've been friends. I'm broken my opportunity to have this family in my life has been STOLEN. I'm ANGRY David is left to blame. That my friends - is THE UGLY TRUTH!

    In peace,
    Debbie

The above mentions this case near the end. I looked up the details and found your insights which I find moving and true.
I recommend watching the above if you have time. Is this the final assault on Christianity?

Can anyone guide me to a List of the 53 songs in David Crowley's "Ascent" Playlist, that was playing in a loop at the time of the Crowley's deaths. I did find a youtube playlist of 43 of the song's music videos at https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLYxyCd6qLiuziJtyzGoqPTy6XVfei_RHj . 10 are missing
